Legacy Giving

LEAVING A LEGACY…

is very simple, as simple as planning to make a gift. Planned gifts are generally funded from accumulated resources or assets, rather than income. The most common Planned Gift received by WVSM is a Bequest.

The tax benefit from a Bequest accrues to the donor’s estate. You can designate your Legacy Gift to our noted funds that encompass all the various funds and expenses of WVSM — the possibilities are abundant and rich with the excitement of giving!

A GIFT IN YOUR WILL

Legacy giving
is planning for a future gift to a cause that you believe in.

       Wills and Bequests

Bequests may come in the form of a percentage of your estate, specific cash amount, property, securities or other assets. A charitable bequest has no effect on you financially in your lifetime and is one of the simplest and most flexible ways to create a lasting legacy.

A bequest is a lasting gift from the heart with practical benefits to your surviving heirs. Your estate receives a tax receipt for the full amount of the donation, which may offset capital gains or other taxes due. You may designate the gift to specific programs, or allow WVSM to put it to work where most needed at the time.

Leaving a bequest to WVSM will help to maintain our ministry in the Invermere Valley community.

Please consider becoming a WVSM Legacy Partner
as an essential part of your estate planning strategy.

If you have completed your will and left a provision for WVSM,
please let us know so we can express our thanks and properly plan for your future gift.
